Why CLS

Why CLS?

Create labels that feature machine-readable codes that can be scanned and read by hospital-based logistics, billing, labeling and distribution systems, including the Codonics Safe Label System

Most countries do not have uniform regulations for unit dose barcodes. Many hospital pharmacies fail to add a barcode to the unit dose for machine-readable identification to support barcode-enabled point of care (BPOC).

CLS creates a barcode label to add to the unit dose, which will never cover the manufacturer’s label, making it possible to improve unit dose safety in the healthcare enterprise.

  • Workflow starts with easy-to-use scanner integration. Simply scan the secondary package (printed barcode on drug box) to print labels for individual primary package unit doses.
  • CLS features audit trails that allow for data history, such as drug and manufacturer information, manufacturer associations, and which labels have been printed.
  • CLS is ideal for a single pharmacist or as an enterprise solution.

The Container Labeling System is not available for purchase or use in the United States.
